The first mile of this trail is rather uninteresting singletrack and you may wonder why you're here. After that, however, the trail gets much better. You parallel the stream, which runs real well in the spring and is very pretty. The trees get more interesting, and the trail gets much more interesting. Most of it is a great, middle-ring moderate climb, with a few cool rock moves thrown in. Unfortunately, after just three miles, the singletrack turns back to doubletrack then dirt road. This is a good turnaround point. However, if you don't mind dirt road, the ride further up the canyon is very scenic.
Leave Buffalo, headed West on hwy 16. As you climb out of town, look for a veterans home, then a rock shop. Grab the left turn after the rock shop marked as Turkey Lane. Drive a few blocks through the houses to the parking area ont he right.
